The neighbor continued, “Having it inside the house would make it easier to access when you need to buy something.” “Buy something?” answered the miser, “I was never going to spend my gold.”

When hearing this, the neighbor picked up a stone and threw it. Then, he said, “If that’s the case, then save the stone. It’s as worthless as the gold you’ve lost.”

There was an old man who lived in a city. He was very miser that he would even hesitate to spend money in the emergency or rather during fulfilling his basic needs.

Although the man was rather old but would like gardening. He would hide his gold coins under a huge stone every day. And each day before hiding the coin, he would also count his previous accumulated coins.

The old man was doing this for a very long time. Thereby he had mustered rather an amount of coins under the stone. Every day counting those mustered coins would make him happier.

Thereby he got fond of repeating this process, But one day a thief notices him hiding those gold coins under the stone.

Thereafter the thief decides to steal all the gold coins from there. Hence he patiently waits for the old man’s departure from there. So that he could steal the gold coins without being noticed by anyone.

Also before stealing the coins he makes sure that he is not being noticed by anyone staying there. Thereafter once he was rather convinced, he finishes his job and promptly leaves the place.

The very next day, the old man visits his garden as he would do every day. And when he found all his coins lost from there, he got stunned.

He could not decide what to do. Thereafter He abruptly starts crying and moaning very badly. He had not ever thought of this even in his nightmares.

As the neighbors notice him crying, they readily reach out to condolence him. Whereas the old man describes the whole matter to them expecting that someone would come up with an idea. But all he got was despondency and disappointment only.

One of his neighbors asks him that why he would not keep his wealth inside his house. The old man replies that he would not keep his money inside his house because he did not want to spend them whatsoever.

Again a man from the crowd asks him whether he had ever spent even a single coin from there. Whereas the miser old man after listening to this replies to him that he had not even thought to spend a single coin from there, so how could he spend those.

Continuing to it he tells his neighbor that all he wanted to just look at his wealth and feel happy about it.

The man standing beside the miser was absolutely amused to hear this. Thereby he picks a stone and throws it in the sky and tells the miser to again collect the kind of stones, saying that it will be as worthless as the gold coins he had lost and then everyone starts laughing.
